Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power WagonGrrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.
I personally think that the Dodge Ramcharger deserves to return. Why? Well, the SUV market right now is hot, Ford announced the Bronco's return, Dodge needs a full6 size SUV in their lineup, and Dodge only has three cars in their lineup! Which is not alot at all. I'm thinking they can give it a 4 door option, and 2 engine options - a 4.0L 6 cylinder, and a 5.7L 8 cylinder. Would be really nice to see the Ramcharger back, I liked it alot and it's a fun vehicle. They can use it to compete with the Ford Expedition, the Ford Bronco, the Chevy Tahoe and alot more.
I think that would be a STELLAR idea. I would love to see Dodge (Ram??) bring back the Ramcharger. Of course, it would need to be updated for modern times...... Also wouldn't mind seeing 2500/3500 versions thereof as well. Off-roaders would LOVE it.
They’ve got the Durango and the jeep line. It’s up to the bean counters.p but it would be nice. Ford brought back the bronco.
And Jeep is bringing back the Wagoneer, built on a ram 1500 frame. (slightly modified) So, that's probably going to be the Ramcharger "replacement"...... Ah well.
If they did it would be as ugly as the new rams. Personally i think they should redesign it before making more ugly vehicles. And the "Ramcharger" was available in Mexico but not in the US.
Yeah, but, the 2nd Gen ramcharger wasn't available in 4wd. Which kinda defeats the purpose. The 4 door version is indeed ugly. Shorten it up a bit, make it two doors, and I think it would be better.
I don't see it happening, There are to many other vehicles Chrysler makes that fit the bill. Just not quite as large. If they should bring anything back it should be Plymouth! I want to see a retro Cuda to ride along side of the Challenger. I actually seen the plum crazy one at Chrysler's at Carlisle years ago. https://www.joeacevedo.com/Blog/file...ncept-Car.html
