Default 360 rebuild

Rebuilding the old 5.9 magnum that has about 205,000 miles on it. Heads are off, oil pan removed, Pistons look good still, cylinder walls are in great shape as well, removed camshaft, cam bearings are good, one has a tiny bit of chipped off not too sure if that really will do anything ? Cam lobes are all good. I'd like to upgrade the camshaft, not too sure what to look at. Will lifters and springs need to be upgraded as well? Not too much knowledge on molar engines

Toss the stock heads, and buy new ones. Odessa/Clearwater offer NEW heads, that are better castings, and less prone to cracking. Your old ones are highly likely to be unsalvagable in any event.

Replace all the bearings. You have it this far apart, it would be silly not to. Have the block checked by a machine shop, to see if you need it bored.

You can upgrade the cam, but, keep in mind that is also going to require a custom tune for the engine. Add another 500 bucks for that.

How much do those heads run for? And yeah I figured to just have all bearings replaced cause the engine is disassembled that far.

They also offer fully assembled heads, for not much more money.

X2! This pic is from a motor that had 190K (at least that's what i was told). Cylinders are worn, cross thatch gone. See what the machine shop says, If it's as clean as you say it is you can clean up the cylinder and put new rings in also.
