Default ISO: 94-95 5.9 ecu

Making some great progress on my 5.9/518 swap on my 88, still missing a few pieces. The main item im missing not easily available for a reasonable price is an ECU. Looking for a 94-95 only 5.9 magnum. Trans type doesn't matter, that's all being removed from the harness. Both my local u-pull lots charge $39 for one, but don't have any in my year range with the single large connector with the bolt. If you have one laying around, or can get one for similar price for your local u-pull, let me know.

That ECU will be from a RAM; they didn't offer the 5.9 in the Dakota those years.

Are you sure you can't use a 5.2 ECU instead? Since you're going bigcube, it'll need to be tweaked ANYWAY.

Yes, I need one from a ram or van with the 5.9. The fuel mapping is different from 5.2 to 5.9. I'm swapping a 5.9 onto an 88 using a full custom harness that has been stripped to only use what is needed to run the engine. The engine and trans i have are from a 95 ram.

The 5.2 PCM WILL run the 5.9, but it will not be best option. I ran it for a few months until I could afford the Mopar High Performance PCM for a 5.9. It is well worth the extra $$.

Nice to see you poking around here Crazy. You still driving that SAS'd Dakota you built a few years ago?

if I wanted to spend $100 plus, that's a great option, but I'm already bleeding money on this swap as it is.

I drive it ever so often. Right now I'm working on lowering it, it is too tall. So this means redesigning a little bit of the suspension and steering to make work with the new stance. Thanks for noticing.

Please, when you do the suspension changes, share it with the forum. Your past work was always of interest to me, and I'm sure many others as well.
