Hey everyone, I picked up a 1979 d150 adventurer earlier this month. Im pumped about it but this will be my first restoration and I want to do this right. The truck has a lean to the driver side, but only in the front, I noticed the lower control arm is bent, id like to replace most of the front suspension components anyway, but when I try to search for a lower control arm, the only ones that seem to pop up are for a w150. Does anyone happen to know if the lower control arms for the w150 would be compatable with the rest of the components on a d150? Or what the difference is between them other than 4x4? Have a great weekend everyone.
In 79 a W150 doesn't have control arms because it uses the leaf springs. A D150(2WD) would. I see all kinds on a google search. May want to upgrade to something other than the stamped stock style. We like pics also!
Sorry its a 78 not 79. I messed that up in my orriginal post. I see them on amazon/ebay etc until I finish adding the specs, then it always says they dont have that one. Does anyone know of any good websites or companies for hard to find components for these vehicles? Ive tried rock auto, jc whitney, parts geek, 1a auto, and all the rest.
