Default Im a bit confused

I bought new light sockets in the rear and once I cut the drive side sockets out all my lights began to act weird my running lights flash my hazards make the lights solid and the turn signal doesn't affect anything.

Are you doing this while everything is turned on? If the harness is cut and you're turning lights on you could have back feeding grounds causing stuff to light up when it shouldn't be.

Default Update

I got the signal to work again but the driver side socket isn't getting any power I traced the wires and they are intact no exposure or corrosion when I cut the old sockets out they worked fine but as soon as I tried to wire the new ones I was getting nothin at all I tested the wires and they work alright but as soon as I hook up a socket with a bulb it just goes dead.
