My '01 2500 V-10 4x4 47RE is slowly giving up the ghost. I need a new tranny and am trying to locate a reputable remanufacturer for a 47RE.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Any of your local shops have a reasonable reputation? Having it done locally becomes a godsend if there are issues.....

 

None. Anchorage, Alaska is a terrible place for tranny's.

 

I would say it's terrible most of the year. A few trans shops come up on google. Reputable?

 

Depending on how much you want to spend, if you want a transmission to swap out the one you have, you might want to consider a used transmission - if so, check car-part.com for salvage yards in your general area that may have one available.
