Still looking. I've found a few, but one was a pile of parts for $10,000, and rusty to boot with no title. Another one is a nice driver for $4500, but nearly 2000 miles away and the logistics of getting there to look at it, then getting it home is a bit too much for me.

Is there another member in the area where it's at, that could go inspect it for you? Shipping it cross-country is doable...... though, no clue just how hard that would beat up the wallet.

I want to look at the car in person. I know what to look for as well as what my abilities are. I've seen other older cars for sale and the prices are just silly. I have an old truck I'll be selling down the road. Probably around $3500-4000. I'm seeing similar trucks to my good driving truck for nearly as much with a bad transmission. I also notice the ads don't seem to disappear until the ad runs out. They don't seem to sell.

I'm also seeing...odd...work done on some of the stuff I've looked at.

This is the fuel fill pipe on my Furd when I got it.

It's SUPPOSED to be bolted to the bed side from inside. When I replaced the fuel pump, I put it back in properly. Maybe 10 minutes extra time, at most.

Still looking. Just keeping the ad active. I did find a 1968 Valiant about 200 miles north of here. It's had a lot of work, but it's a third generation Valiant, not a first.

Going to look at a 1961, V-200 2 door hardtop tomorrow. About as close to what I'm looking for as I'm going to find. It's supposed to sort of run and drive with a can. Automatic instead of manual. They want my '90 Furd in trade. We'll see what I find.

Well, that trip was a bust. 210 miles to look at a car that looked decent at first. Quarters weren't too bad, paint was fair and it fired up and ran with a gas can. Drove it out on the driveway and the torsion box collapsed. Exactly what I didn't want. Both bars rotted away from the floor pan. If I ever find a solid car, I have parts. It's beyond my ability to get back on the road. The owner said it did seem like it was sitting lower than it was a few months ago.
