Interesting that I only noted one reference to projectors. How is it that these HIDS are installed without projectors and present no problems with passing state safety inspections? I'm also curious about how there are several posts about FM reception being impacted and then one response saying that wrapping foil around the ballast solved the problem, yet the issue was passed to R&D, but nothing back from them. Does the vendor not bear some burden for correcting the problem instead of expecting customers to solve it for them?
I'm interested in HID's, but I want to be safe and I also want to retain my ability to listen to FM.
Is HIDEXTRA addressing either of these issues or just washing their hands due to the perception that failure among a small percentage of the customer base is acceptable?

Alright I have a question about the difference between the 6000k and the 8000k. Now is the 8000k brighter or is the 6000k brighter.. I was a little confused on the website.. Sorry if this is a dumb question
Hi,
6000K is white, 8000K is white with light blue tint.
6000K is brighter than 8000K by 200 lumens,
Thanks`

HI,
Since you didn't specify if your 2009 has dual headlamp or quad headlamp, see below to search for your bulb type and ordering instructions, thanks~
Dual beam would be H13 and quad beam (low beam) would be H11, you have to make sure.

Only less than 2% of my customers ever come back to post a feedback, if you are skeptical about HIDs in general, please do further research online and compare your options. We at hidextra addresses all problems at hand, but if only less than 0.05% of the problem occurs, there is not enough justification to change our manufacturing procedures since by far a manufacturer is allowed to have about less than 2 % of defects.
For your record, all aftermarket HIDs are illegal, so regardless of safety inspection or not, if you want an HID that did not come stock with your car, then it's not DOT approved or illegal regardless if its in projector housings or not, but aftermarket HIDs have been in the market for the past 10 years and as long as you keep within the 8000K color range, you will have no problem with the officials as they themselves convert to HIDs also
It is though recommended to change back to stock if you are doing any type of inspection.
As of the FM reception, only certain customer in certain lower signal areas get this issue, which the problem is than even less the our 0.05% defective rate, therefore the only resolution is to resolve it at the customers end at hand.
Thanks for your questions!
