The capacitor wire harness is to prevent the light from flickering. If your kit is working fine without it, you are perfectly ok, there is no worry about that. And if you do get any flickering issue in the future, go ahead and contact me, I'll for sure to get some sent to you.

I went with the 8K. Karen stated that the best one going out is the 6K which is the hyper white. 8K has a blue tint on it and I know some people told me anything up 8K is a waste.

4300K OEM gives the most useable light. Going higher or lower drops the output.
FYI...5000k produces 15% less lumens of light than 4300k
6000k produces 20% less light than 4300k
8000k produces 30%less light than 4300k
10000k varies but generally is in the 40% less light vicinity.
It's all about color and personal prefernce anything over 5000k.
Even at 10000k you still get more useable light than a halogen bulb.

MOST company kits.... 5000k bulbs are white w/slight blue tint, 6000k is fairly blue, 8000k is distictively blue and 10000k is deep blue on the verge of a purple hue.

I ordered a 6000k H11 kit this past week for my Ram, and wanted to share my experience.

The shipping speed was great as usual. I ordered Wednesday and received them today. The bulbs were both the correct color and look great. It seems that the ballasts have changed slightly since my last order, but work great so far.

Now for the bad. I received the capacitors with my kit. Following the directions, I tried both polarity directions until I found one that allowed the kit to light up. For the first minute the lights worked fine. Then they started flickering on and off. Then one of the capacitors exploded. Yes, exploded. As in, I heard a sound like a loud firecracker from within my truck. I could smell smoke, and ripped the lights off my truck as fast as possible. The end of one of the capacitors blew off. Going into the install I had my reservations about the capacitors, but I had heard they worked for others, so why not try them. Thankfully I had the relay harness from my last truck laying around, and was able to get the lights working using that.

Explosions aside, I'm happy with the kit.

Looking back at the response I first recieved on how to make these lights work with my truck, I was told that I would need a relay harness and not the capacitors. Are all your harnesses the same length, or would you have longer ones for different applications? I'm wondering because the one I had from my last truck was barely long enough to be routed from one side to the other without just stretching it right over the engine.
