Well you can add a resistor but for them advertising on a dodge site it should work with dodge vehicles...tampering(adding a resistor) usually forfeits the warranty even though they won't work without it

I purchased 2 HID kits last week (05 Ram 2500 & 08 Grand Cherokee) The shipping was super fast, and everything packaged well. My 1st problem is that I was shipped a separate bag with a relay harness and 2 capacitor harnesses inside. Nothing describing what goes with each kit, or if it is all for one kit. The prints and directions are VERY poor and not application specific, the relay harness is not even mentioned or shown in any of the directions, there is no way to reference the part #'s through your website, and the website instructions offer no help. I can't get an answer at the # the website gives.
I compared the kits to my vehicle light sockets and figured out which kit went to each vehicle. I started by installing only the basic kits. On the 2500, the kit worked fine (only tested it for a few seconds at a time, then for a couple minutes) without the extra capacitor harnesses, so all is well with that kit for now, just plugged right in.
Next the Grand Cherokee, I hooked up basic kit. Turned them on and nothing, so I reversed the polarity as shown in the 1 set of instructions I actually did receive. Lights turned on fine and looked great. But then they flickered like a strobe light once turned off. So I figure I need to install the capacitor harnesses right? So I installed them just as shown (red to red, blk to blk) and one fried instantly, I managed to disconnect the other before it sizzled.
So now I have my truck with nice new lights that I am scared to use since I don't really know if they are installed correctly, and at the very least I have to order new capacitor harnesses to finish the GC. I appreciate the fact that extra parts were included in my kits, but with no extra instructions, they are just extra parts.
