Default Suggestion for new Truck Tires

It's time for us to replace our '08 Dodge Ram 2500 truck tires. It's a 4 door crew cab with a 6 ft. bed. Currently it has BF Goodrich LT245/R17/E on it. Looking for<!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->all season truck tires recommendations. These were dependable and run about $195-$245. We're wondering if we should stick with the BF Goodrich, or if there is something cheaper, but just as dependable. We welcome all suggestions.

BFG makes some nice tires, and no, they are not cheap... but, consider what you are asking them to do, and then think about: do you really want cheap tires??? The All Terrain TAs are a good all around tire. But, WHERE you are also matters. Do you need to deal with snow/ice? Do you go offroad at all?

I currently have Michelin LTX AT2’s. They have 62,000 miles on them with 9/32 tread left. My only issue with them is for an all-terrain tire, they look more like a car tire. I want something more aggressive like these https://www.corwheels.com/best-all-season-truck-tires/ looking when it’s time to replace. My next set will be Toyo Open Country AT 3’s.

The tires in the first pic there look a lot more like mud tires to me, than 'all season'..... (unless you live in a swamp I suppose....)

The more aggressive the tread, the louder it is going to be on the road. A/T tires are a nice compromise between off-roadability, and road manners. Sure, there are some cheap ones out there, but, I have found that those guys SUCK in rain/snow...... might just as well be slicks.

I had General Grabbers at's and they where slightly better than the Coopers that came on my old truck. They both suck in the rain! One thin i found is a lot of manufactures don't make any with raised white letters. These are for the delusional people with hideously ugly black rims. Can't beat BFG at's!

The latest tires I put on my truck were Continental Terraincontact HT.

Improved the ride and handling enough for my wife to comment on them.
