Check Engine Light after Rain
So My truck has been driving just fine since I got it but for the last two days its been raining non stop. On Saturday night I was driving around, truck worked fine and most importantly, no Check Engine light was on. When I parked the truck that night, It had rained all night and when I went to start it the next morning, My check engine light came on and stayed. Other then the light being on, the truck works and drives perfectly. This is my first ever vehicle so any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. I plan on taking it it to shop but at this point I might have to wait til January. Is that taking a risk?

Yep. My guess is a wiring issue such as the spark plug wires being worn. Happened to my brother's Volaire in the summer of 85(?). The humidity would make the car impossible to start, and if it rained all bets were off. Once he replaced the plug wires, it was like a new car.

ya i had a blazer the previous owner put electrical tape on one of the plug wires. i didnt know this untill i went out and burried the thing in the mud and power washed it the next day and started it up and my CEL came on and got a misfire code. pulled the plug and wire on that cylinder and had freakin electrical tape on it. replaced the wires and it was fine
