Crankshaft position sensor

The reason I replaced the old one is after first starting the truck and taking off it would buck around and have no power. I took the old one out and it looks as though the contacts were gone. So I put the new one in, reset the computer and now it will barley start and when it does it back fires and won't even rev

I took the new one out and put the old man back in and its fine again, so I think I may have gotten a bad sensor. I thought it may be the computer as well, cause when I had the new sensor in, and the truck running I hooked my code reader up and it showed no codes at all, so it may not be registering in the computer as well.

Bad new parts ok but
When my computer was going crazy I had no codes showing up ever it may still be the computer my truck would run like crap then be ok for a few days then run like crap again this went on for a month before I took it to a shop and they said my computer is going out on me replaced it no more problem.

I have the 3.9. I just did a full tune up on the truck (plugs, wires, cap and rotor) I replaced the fuel pump less than 1000 miles ago. I did notice that one of the ground straps is not on and I havent pin pointed where it goes quite yet, but regardless it ran fine before, and for a new sensor to be causing th truck to act this way is beyond me.
