I have a 98 in stock form and I have been intrested in lifting it with a 2" lift kit just to bring it up off the ground some. I talked to a guy yesterday who told me he would advise me not to lift due to the rattling I would hear. He said instead I should just upgrade my rims and tires to bigger sizes because the wheel well has planty of room to go bigger with out lifting. I just want to see what kinda problems people delt with after the lift? whether it was worth it? or if I should just get bigger rims and tires?
Idk what your using for tires now but 31" is the biggest youll fit without lift. Rattling? Thats a load ive had ny torsions cranked an blocks under rear axle for a year now without a rattling noise an i go muddibg alot. I now have 5.5" lift with 35s an mine rides like a caddy
IDK about "Planty of room" I would do a lift.. You'll need to do an alignment after.. though.. any rattling would have to be if the guy had some defective parts on his suspension and steering.. LOL
interesting my stock 31s that came with mine didnt rub, which means my t bar was probably cranked up orignally. but to stay on topic just a forwarning to the op.
do not do a body lift if you decide to lift it get a suspension lift #1. #2see price diffrences and decide exactly what you want be sure though because it would suck to spend all that money and time only to do it all over again check out desertrat.com for rim and tires they have really good prices on rim and tire combo's
