A/C help Question
I have a 99 Dakota V6 base model that has never had A/C. I just moved to Texas (from so cal) and I now need a/c. I have bought everything to install it myself but I am missing a part. the part that the a/c hose screws into. i don't know the name of it or have found anything online that would point me to that part. i'm hoping that someone here knows the name or can link me to where i could buy it from.

If 98DAKAZ doesn't have it, it's probably a junkyard part. Or maybe a dealer part.
I checked the parts diagram at http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...category=20300 and it's part of the liquid line from Mopar.
THAT said - RockAuto does list the AB part, whereas that link shows the AC revision.
May want to return that part, and pick up the Mopar labeled part. That would explain why it's so much extra (twice the price!) over the Four Seizin's or GPD parts.

Unfortunately all online Mopar parts places don’t give you a quality picture to verify what part you need so you may need to go directly to a dealer to get the correct part. A junkyard may be faster and you can see the part so you know it’s the part you need just remember 97 to 99 is different than 2000 to 2004.
97 to 99 has the push click in fitting for the condenser 2000 to 04 the fitting was bolt together some 2000 to 04 had a very different duel high low port sensor on that tubing also.
