Default Trying to order custom PCM

I have taken everyone advice from a while back and contacted arrington performance to flash my PCM custom to my truck. Now that I have finally saved up the $750 needed I have started the paperwork but have some questions. And they may be dumb questions, but I really cant afford to screw this stuff up.

1. How do I know what type of torque convertor I have? I have the 46re tranny, rebuild only a few thousand miles ago to stock specs (If I knew dodges then I would have scrapped the truck or really built the tranny).

2.How do I calculate the final drive ratio? I have 31in tires on the truck currently, but plan to lift the truck and add 33's or 35's, so will this really mess up the computer the program for me if set to current sizes?

3.What are the stock injector sizes?

4. How do I calculate WHP and WTQ?

thanks again guys

You have a locking torque converter. (which is what I suspect they want to know.)

Trans final drive is .69:1, need to know gear ratio in the diff, and tire size to get to the end. Once you have the engine running good, doing tires/gears/etc, won't really change that. (I think it's more about trans control, than the engine.)

Not sure on stock injectors, though the information is around here somewhere.

You can download a program for free, give it what it wants to know, and it will calculate engine power for you. You can figure 20-30% loss thru the drivetrain.

How would I tell what my rear gear ratio is? Is it possible to do without taking off the case? Also I have LT285/75r16 tires on it now

There should be an ID tag on your axle (attached with one of the cover bolts) that will tell you the ratio. If it is too rusted, has been ripped off or removed, you can still find out what you have without taking the cover off. Start by jacking up the rear end, and secure the truck. You will be under it. Use chalk or a crayon or something to mark the tire pointing at an exact spot on the ground. (Sort of like making a timing mark similar to your crank shaft). Slowly rotate the tire, until it has made one complete revolution, and your mark is lined up with the same spot on the ground. While you are rotating the tire, count how many times the driveshaft rotates. Easier to watch the yoke. If the yoke rotates roughly 3 3/4 (about 3.75) turns per 1 rotation of the wheel, then you know you likely have 3.73 gears. If it rotates slightly more than 4 turns, you probably have 4.11 gears. Keep in mind that due to wear and backlash in the ring and pinion, it isn't going to be exact, but knowing some of the gearing options, you should be able to figure it out.

You could also just go here http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html
on the left side click "Equipment Listing", enter VIN and you'll get the build sheet for your truck and it will tell you what your gear ratio is
