Default front end noise

I have a 94 1500 5.9L auto and I just got the truck and I'm still finding all the little things wrong. When I make a hard turn at low speeds. I can hear a intermittent loud sqeak in what sounds like the driver side front tire. It doesn't sound like a bearing. I've never had universals in my front axels. So I'm wondering the symptoms when they start to go bad. I climbed under neither and didn't see or feel anything loose anywhere in the front end. I don't want to tear it apart until I can pinpoint the problem. also I want to add there is no lift kit and I'm running stock rims on 265 75 16s

What do your brake pads look like? 4WD / 2WD?

Sounds like 4wd since he mentions "universals" in the front axle. When you mean hard turn, is the wheel at full lock? If not, yes probably the u-joints. Check the caps for orange rust. Usually the cap will dry out and rust solid creating the squeak. Could also be hubs so jack it up and rock the wheel from 12 to 6 for any play. If not, could be power steering pump whining.... But these trucks love to eat u-joints and hubs so my bet is there.

Pads are good and yes 4wd and it's not a consistent noise ....like a rock in the tire I hear it once everytime the tire makes a full rotation and it will do it without having the stearing wheel locked

X2! Look at your ujoints(wheel) The factory ones where junk and wore out in no time. Replace them with spicer units or you will be doing it again in a year or two.

The stock units ARE Spicer joints. Mine only wore out fast because it would puddle under my truck after rain and they rusted. Spicer 5-760x is the stock part and best option for replacement.

Okay thanks. Is it dangerous if I don't get to it right away?

Depends how bad they are. I wouldn't wait very long, especially if they are rusted or loose.
