welcome, did you replace it with a new one?? the only way it can wobble is if the rubber starts coming out of the dampener, might need to see a video of this..

Also, keep in mind that the 360 is externally balanced, so, the balancer isn't a uniform size all the way around. The wobble might just be an optical illusion.

I did notice that about the harmonic balancer I noticed that it wasn't a solid round piece and it did cross my mind that maybe it was just an optical illusion I bought a brand new balancer from O'Reilly the cheap one one thing that the motor that is in the truck was from a wrecked truck is there any way that maybe the crank was bent and the Collision also after starting it now the belt is squeakingthank you guys for the fast response I will try to figure out how to load a video

How old is the belt?

Take the belt off, clean all the pulleys really well. Make sure any idlers, including the tensioner, spin freely.... (no bad bearings, thank you very much.)

If the belt is still in good shape, clean it as well, if you don't remember the last time it was changed, replace it.

Once done with that, watch the belt where it comes off the crank pulley. Is it wobbling as well? If not, then you don't have a problem.

Oh, man I feel your pain, sort of. I wanted to replace mine on the 318 since it had to come off to do the timing chain anyway and Napa sold me a balancer for a 360. Got everything back on and had a terrible shake with about 6mpg. Finally figured it out and replaced the old one from under the truck without removing the shroud or anything. What a fun ride that was. Btw, no one sells a new 318 balancer if anyone is wondering.

This one works. Used it on my internally balanced 318/390 stroker,

Now finding a pulley for it that isn't some kind of underdrive pulley is a whole different story. LOL

Look for a pulley for a 97 or older model year truck. They just bolt on to the front of the balancer.
