If your truck is 98 or newer, will have to have the PCM flashed to your vin. 97 or older, drop it in, hook it up, and you are done. There *might* be some re-pinning of some PCM connectors involved, I don't know if the connectors are divided up completely between engine harness, and body.... it would make sense... but, that just makes it more likely it ISN'T done that way.
Edit: Ok, looking at your nick, gonna take a wild stab in the dark, and guess your truck is a 98. Gotta have the PCM flashed to your vin. Any competent shop should be able to do it.
