Default PO406 Code?

I have a check engine light on, checked it, it says PO406. What do I need to buy?

Just replaced my EGR valve this past Friday. AutoZone had one for me for $39.99 with a 2 year warranty. Install was super easy and I couldn't believe the difference it made in gas mileage. I averaged 19.8 mpg on a trip up to Indianapolis and back, and that was running about 75 mph on the highway. Pretty impressive for a truck.

Glad you got it fixed....but next time i would see how much work is involved before dropping the money unless you needed it right now. It's a $40.00 part at a parts store, two bolts, and about 10 mintues to change one out.

which is probably the exact same part that you can get for $40.

I changed mine out a couple of months ago when I hit 50k miles. No CEL, when I cleaned the TB it was filthy and figured the EGR would be too. Was surprised it wasn't bad at all, so I cleaned it up and kept it in the box that the $37 one I bought at my local Advance Auto came in.

So lets see what's on the box:

The $80 is better in my pocket than the local dealer's. Just sayin'...

Well, you live and learn...

and honestly, I didn't know mine was made in the US. But when you made your post, I knew I still had the box on the shelf in the garage with the original Mopar one in it, so I had to go check...
