Where does my block heater cord plug into?

Default Where does my block heater cord plug into?

Hey i have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with the hemi and well lets just say nobody likes to unplug my truck before taking off. My block heater cord came unplugged from the block and i can't find where it plugs into and help would be great thanks.

I dont know exactly what side but there will probably be 4 frost plugs on either side of the block under the exhaust mainfolds.. Itll go into one of those, easiest to see from under the truck.. It shouldnt be hard to miss as long as you can see the side of the block, theres a good foot of snow outside so Im not gonna go lay under my truck.. sorry hope that helps a bit..

I am almost certain it is on the driver side cylinder bank back near the starter.

yes, its on the driver side toward the rear of the engine right next to the starter. look for the exhaust manifold...its right near the rear exhaust port

What kind of butthead designed a system where you have to crawl under the truck when it's cold? They couldn't just wire it up by the radiator somewhere? I would be permanently mounting an extension with a receptacle in a convenient place.

They must've changed it since 1995 model then....mine is about 4" forward of the oil filter, passenger side, (just changed mine 2-days ago).

I think somebody pulled the wires out of there block heater. But yeah, why isn't the heater wire clipped to the truck to prevent this from happening?
