Default Squeaky front end.

My front end is squeaking a lot. Every little bump, it squeaks. If I turn while driving it barely does it. But if I turn while sitting still it will do it more. Even getting in the truck it will make a little squeak. Please help? Making me fall out of love with it!

+1 on shocks. Just replaced my OEM ones after 100k miles and they were so far gone the fronts wouldn't even extend out on their own. My front end was very squeaky as well. While i was working on the front end, I also replaced the front sway bar bushings and sway bar end links with moog parts, no more squeaks and the front suspension is smoooooth

Check your ball joints. Could be out of grease. Inject some grease with a needle into rubber boot on each joint. See if it goes away. I had the same problem on 04' Ram. The sealed ball joints from factory eventually dry up.

08 1500. I think the shocks are factory. Not 100% sure. Only had the truck less than a year. Ive also noticed a small vibration at high speeds.

Do this.
I did and found my lower drives side ball joint was the issue.

My guess would be upper shock mounts, they have rubber that will squeak after many years.. Take some silicone spray and lube up the top of the shock in the upper control arm between the 3 bolts really good then go drive it and listen.. If that is not it hit other suspension components one by one with the silicone spray, then drive around where you know it normally squeaks, until you find the part that is making the noise. With it being an 08 I would think that you should probably be prepared to start going through most of the suspension components: Struts, ball joints, bushings, swaybar end links, upper control arms.

I completely rebuilt my front end with moog parts to combat squeaking, ended up being the sway bar bushing, I'm glad everything else needed replacing anyway
