Looks like you took the time to seal it pretty well but what about mountng it up solid so you limit vabration???
Probably would vote for an EBAY one first and do the swap for a Name Brand filter.

Looks alright. I had my filter right on the end of my tb for awhile with a K&N filter til I got a real one. The real deal is definitely better then just on the TB.

Wheres the hookup from the PCV?
How are you pulling the potential nastyness from the engine?
What about moisture from a rainy road surface?

Im working on a "Ram" system myself.
Seems workable with the large front grill area.

Nice use of PVC though. ;-)

We offer a wide selection of polished aluminum tubing, silicone couplers, clamps, and air filters for anyone wishing to build a custom air intake. By using aluminum tubing you would be able to reduce the weight of your intake, create a show quality look, and also be able to easily mount any brackets that you may need to reduce vibration. Aluminum also dissipates heat more efficiently than PVC which lend itself to cooler intake temperatures.

Nuts. I cant do a simple Ram.
The radiator is in the way and I dont fancy pulling air from the radiator into the engine.

I hope your engine never catches on fire. PVC releases Phosgene, a nerve toxin, when on fire!!!!

hm, yeah that toxin stuff would really suck, wouldn't the pvc melt under the heat? im working on one right now myself, ive made a prototype and have trimmed down the battery tray and cut a bigger hole like spud did, Verocious, how much would some of that piping cost?, nevermind I see now.

crap.
you could find a 3.0 intake tube cheaper than what you paid for all of that.
