Default Need help! Swap!

Well I'll start by saying I have a 2000 2500 dodge ram. BUT it has a 360 magnum. Today found a heck of a deal on a 24v Cummins. I need help on what I need to make it work. I don't need to know the drivetrain part of it.
Just the FUEL, WIRING, AND GAUGES, ETC. Any input you guys have will be greatly appreciated.

Get the whole truck. That way you'll have everything you need. And contemplate letting your insurance company in on what you've done. Not a whole lot worse than dumping a bunch of money into a truck then getting a loss claim paid out for pennies on the dollar because your insurance isn't up to snuff.

trans, driveshafts, front end (unless yours is a HD v8 with a 60 up front already), rear end, springs, cluster, dash harness, engine/trans harness, ECM/TCM, fuel tank/sender, lines, filler neck.

I mean of course the pumps are different. But 24v have like the external pump. So couldn't I use the factory one as a sending pump?

I don't know if the tank itself is different, the factory setup on the diesel would have been a block mounted electric pump with just a sender in the tank. The problem is that the electric pumps don't like heat and vibration, so being mounted to the engine didn't work out so well. As a revision, they moved the pump into the tank.

A better solution is a frame mount pump with either the factory sump or a draw straw.

I believe a gas truck's pump would be in the mid-40 psi range, and a 24v wants to see 14-20psi max.

Really appreciate the reply. Would a regulator on the line work?

It may, but I'm also not sure if the volume would be sufficient, or the return system, the vent system, etc. Or if there's a difference in pump/sender materials due to the difference in fuels.

It really would be best to get a diesel draw straw with sender and a frame mount pump.
