How to store my ram?
Well, ..my 82nd Airborne unit was called up this week, looks like i'll be jumping out of planes to kill some Iraqi's.[sm=usa.gif] "..actually, reservist unit, i'll probly be cleaning up Humvee oil spills" I was wondering what preparations i should take to store my '99 Ram for an extended period of time? should the gas tank be empty? new oil? etc..thanks everyone!

Don't empty the gas tank. The more air there is in it, the higher the possibility of water condensing in the gas. It should be completely full, and use Sta-Bil in it. Other than that, all you have to do is change all the oils when you get back before you start it. Maybe change spark plugs and wires before startup too.
Just took my Blazer out of storage after 1-1/2 years. I didn't do anything to prepare it. Only reason it was in storage is cause I didn't have time to get to it over that time.

Put fuel stabil in the gas, without it, the gas will degrade, gas has about a 3 month shelf life and keep the tank full to minimize the moisture, get the weight off the tires ( jack it up and out it on axle stands ), put the plugs and squirt some oil in the cylinders, turn it over a couple of times to coat the cylinder walls and put the plugs back in, disconnect your battery or you will find it dead when you get back ( battery will sulfate if left in a dead state), change your oil and filter. If possible store your truck in a dry garage and put a tarp over it to keep the dust off. I hope this helps. Take care in Iraq and get back safe.

A unit was sent up from Benning to Ft. Campbell in Kentucky, and my recruiter pulled some strings and got me into the Airborne unit, since it was a close enough drive...and the rest is history
