Newbie, 06 megacab hemi issues
Thanks for letting me join up! I have a couple issues on my 06.
First blower motor runs part of the time. Checked connectons and blower motor works when jumped to battery.
Second The brake warning light comes on occasionally, checked fluid levels, all pads 1/2 worn, rotors good, pedal good, stops ok.
Thanks!!!!

Check for power at the motor. Change the fan speed with the dash switch. Make sure you keep power at each setting. That will let you know the switch is good and the wiring to the motor is good. There may even be a relay. Check the cover of your fuse box. Look for fuses and relays that deal with HVAC.

Sometimes that works sometimes no help!

I would then suspect that the motor on the blower is real bad if it made a squealing noise it would be the bearings. But you say hitting it sometimes will start the motor, I would then say it real bad and replace with a used one or a new one. Takes about 30 minutes to replace. I dont think they cost much but I would replace the blower motor.
The resistor when it goes bad will only keep it from working on all speeds. I think low and high will work in between will not work. Never saw a resistor go completely bad. What I have seen is the plug to the resistor melt from the high resistance at that point of connection to the resistor. The resistor either stops some speeds from working or the wire/plug melts.
So make sure you also have a good connection on plug to resistor and no burnt/melted plug
good luck
