Default Headers

I know this topic has been beat to death but I'm wondering if anybody has used these?

I've got a leak on a manifold so I'd like to replace with headers. Preferably long tubes but pacesetters are pretty pricey by time you buy the headers and y pipe. Just wondered if these are worth it.

This is one of those occasions where 'you get what you pay for' comes into play..... Are you planning on installing a cat as well? Have a shop where you can do the install yourself? Pipe Bender??

I'd pass and save my pennies for a better set. Haen't really heard anything good about the Ebay Headers.

I had JBA shorty's on my 5.9l durango. Nice midrange improvement even on stock exhaust, even better when I had an exhaust shop do 3" single from the collector on back.

I've heard mixed reviews about ebay headers that's why I was thinking about trying them. I will install myself and do have access to a pipe bender to get the rest of the exhaust done. Right now my oem cat is gutted so I will likely just delete that and continue on with no cat.

My daughter has some stainless Ebay headers. They are very nice. Look at flange thickness and tube thickness (gauge). Thin flanges will never seal properly, and try to find 14 gauge tubes.

How long has your daughter had them on? I'm mostly concerned with the longevity of the headers

I have gone through a couple of sets on my 96 Ram. The first set blew a hole in one of the welds and I replaced them with the Pacesetter shorties and like them. You do know that you are going to lose a little on the bottom end with the LT compared to a set of shorties. I know that is part of the reason why I have never gone with the LT. Even with the rebuild and stroker coming up I'm sticking with shorties. Either way they don't cost a lot and with you installing them you can pull them out if you don't like them. Good luck and keep us up to date on the install.

+1 on the JBA shorties. I have a set on my truck that I picked up here locally off craigslist. They fit great and perform well. Before that, I had a set of Pacesetter shorties and they didn't fit well into the stock exhaust pipes - I had to bolt one side on to the downpipe, then use a hydraulic spreader to position the other downpipe pipe into place properly.
