Dodge only made around 10,000 1/2 ton pickups in 1937. And this is one of the nicest you’ll ever see!

Today, it’s pretty much impossible to imagine a time when Dodge didn’t build trucks. And for good reason, because they’ve been doing so nearly as long as anybody else. But these days, you just don’t see a ton of early Dodge trucks on the road. This is especially true when you’re talking about the 1937 Dodge pickup. But as it turns out, there’s a good reason for that.

And that reason is Dodge only built a little over 10,000 1/2 ton pickups that year. Take into consideration the fact that many of them were used up on farms and then left to rot, and the sight of a 1937 Dodge pickup like this gorgeous example doesn’t exactly happen every day. So when we spotted the cherry ride over at The Collector Car Network, we had to take notice!
