Bulletproof paneling, ballistic glass and all-wheel-drive create an unstoppable Hellcat Charger.

In normal form, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is one of the baddest sedans in the world. With 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, there is no gasoline-powered, four-door car in the world with as much power. With the ability to reach speeds well over 200 miles per hour while covering the quarter mile in the 11-seconds flat, there is no four-door car that will compete in terms of real-world performance. Being the quickest, fastest and most-powered four-door sedan in the world makes the Hellcat Charger seem like the ideal police cruiser, but what happens if the bad guys start shooting at the supercharged Dodge sedan?

According to Motor Authority, that is where Armormax of Utah comes into play. They offer a detailed police package for the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat that adds full bulletproofing, police duty electronics and a high performance all-wheel-drive system, transforming the quickest, fastest and strongest sedan in the world into the most unstoppable sedan in the world.

Armormax designed their package for the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to serve in the roughest situations that police or government officials may encounter. The company adds light synthetic fiber laminates and air hardened, heat treated ballistic alloys in a variety of strength levels, ranging from B4 up through B7. When equipped with the toughest material, passengers of this Charger are safe from armor-piercing rounds fired from a high-powered rifle and all smaller, less potent weapons.

After the body panels have been reinforced to protect the passengers, Armormax also adds ballistic glass all around, run-flat tires and protective panels around the engine, fuel tank and battery, ensuring that almost the entire vehicle is immune to a firefight.

Next, the company offers a full spread of police lighting and a front push bar, but there are also some key options that really take this package to the next level. This includes bomb blankets, exterior-mounted listening devices and a heavy-duty suspension system that works with the heavy duty all-wheel-drive system.

All-wheel-drive Hellcat

The modern Dodge Charger is offered with all-wheel-drive, but only in V6 form. There used to be an all-wheel-drive package for the Charger R/T, but that has been gone for a few years and there has never been an all-wheel-drive package for the Hellcat models. Fortunately, Armormax has developed some variety of all-wheel-drive system that will allow the 707-horsepower Dodge sedan to get the best possible traction in any footing.

Just imagine that a high profile official from the US government is being driven somewhere when he is attacked by terrorists on motorcycles with assault rifles. The firearms will have no impact on the car’s drivability, nor will anyone inside by harmed as the car uses all of that power and traction to race away from the attackers. At the same time, the bulletproof Hellcat Charger could be a popular option among rappers who are always beefing with other rappers.

In any case, the all-wheel-drive, bulletproof Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is nothing short of awesome.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
