Chrysler Pacifica SRT Hellcat Could Be ‘The Mother of Minivans’
Auto designer injects the Chrysler Pacifica with pure Hellcat fire, and now this idea could be a reality.
The most gifted automotive designers are those that see vehicles with a different eye. For example, consider the Chrysler Pacifica. Many are likely to shrug and say “meh.” It’s a minivan. Not exactly the stuff of legends. But Abimelec Arellano approaches vehicles not as they are, but as what they could be. And that includes a lot Mopar possibility. And his Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat SRT is a fire-breathing beast.
Abimelec Design has come up with some truly epic designs and renders. This take on the current-generation Chrysler is so good that he inspired a HP Tuners to offer it as a custom build.
While it takes some cues from the Dodge Durango, the Hellcat Pacifica is a very different beast.
Built for power and performance, the minivan was lowered and given a brawny widebody stance. High-performance styling cues such as the hood scoop, vents, and aero components. And he drops a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Hemi V8 under the hood.
If you’re going to think outside the box, you might as well go far out. And he does. Adding in WK1 SRT8 Jeep exhausts because why not?
He’s come a long way from his original sketch,. Recently he posted the updated Pacifica and the original online.
“Hellcat Pacifica is back!” he says. “This has been one of the most popular renderings I’ve done, so I figured it was only appropriate to give it a follow up, this time in full 3D, to showcase what was not possible in the first 2D Photoshop-produced image. It’s all pretty much a replica of that original render, with the addition of WK1 SRT8 Jeep inspired exhausts, and some new colors! What’s left to do now? Tag Chrysler of course!”
Frankly, this is exactly what Chrysler should be considering. Yes, they have really embraced the identity of the family vehicles. But a lot of moms and dads would appreciate that very distinct, raw, soul-rattling Hellcat power.
“When soccer practice starts at 8, ballet class at 8:10, grocery store big sale is over at 8:20 and drag strip opens at 8:30,” Abimelec says. “We all know we wanted this.”
Heaven help us, but we really do.
