Gorgeous 1984 Dodge Ram D100 Somehow Has Just 135 Original Miles
This 1984 Dodge Ram D100 was apparently bought new, parked somewhere, and essentially forgotten about for decades.
These days, vintage trucks with low miles seem to be coming out of the proverbial woodwork, but there’s a very good reason for that – they’re actually worth solid money now, much like their collector car counterparts. The stories behind these barely used vehicles vary greatly but are always fascinating, if that history is known, at least, though in many cases, sellers don’t share the justification for it. Sadly, that’s also the case with this amazing 1984 Dodge Ram D100 that’s currently up for grabs on eBay, which somehow has just 135 original miles on the clock.
While we’ve seen our fair share of old trucks that were purchased, brought home, and then never used, few, if any, have accumulated such little mileage. Heck, some people drive more than 135 miles every day for work or whatever reason, many more than that. It’s unclear how this 1984 Dodge D100 managed to survive the past several decades with no one getting the urge to take it out for a spin, but the result is a pretty amazing and unique find.
As one might imagine, there are signs that this truck’s incredibly low mileage total are genuine. It looks pretty amazing in the photos provided, with shiny paint, an immaculate engine bay, and a super clean interior. There are signs that it sat somewhere in tight storage and might have been used for storing things in the bed, where a few scratches lie – a common practice for barn finds. There’s also some surface rust, which is pretty common for vehicles stored in non climate-controlled buildings – particularly up north or near the ocean.
Regardless, there’s certainly a lot to like here, though the asking price of $34,500 is a lot of coin for a truck with a six-cylinder powerplant and not a ton of options. In this day and age where folks clamor to scoop up nice, older trucks, we wouldn’t be surprised to see someone dish out that kind of cash to bring it home, however, mainly because 135 original-mile 1980s pickups don’t exactly grow on trees.
