Hoonigan’s Video Features Drag Racer Leah Pritchett Learning To Drift A Hellcat

Motorsport brand Hoonigan slays tires on a regular basis. Their show, Daily Transmission, usually involves drifting, doing burnouts, or racing in their tiny parking lot in Long Beach, California. The guests on the show often bring high horsepower cars and put on a smoke show for the fans. Hoonigan is famously known for their connection with Ken Block and his Gymkhana and Climbkhana videos. In the videos, sliding, drifting, and burning up all the tires is what it is all about. Hoonigan also sponsors several drivers in various types of motorsports. In their latest offering, they have Leah Pritchett drift a Hellcat.
Leah Pritchett is a drag racer, and the fastest ones in the world at the moment. Putting down a 3.640 in the eighth mile, she holds the record for the quickest run in NHRA history. She also happens to have Dodge as a sponsor. So Hoonigan had a great idea: Let’s teach her to drift in a Hellcat. Leah learns to drift at the Balcony Course in Willow Springs with Formula Drift driver Geoff Stoneback. The Hellcat was a six speed manual, which is the perfect choice to go sideways. Also, the manual transmission gives you the ability to kick the clutch and get the car sideways. This also puts the driver in complete control of which gear is being used.

This unseen footage is pretty awesome. Leah flicks the Hellcat around with smoke pouring off the rear tires. There is also some brief footage of the Hellcat using the color smoking tires, which produces different colored smoke when drifting.
