Final stop of Hot Wheels event hosted one of the best showings of Dodge vehicles outside of SpringFest LX.

On October 20th, 2018, hundreds of stock and modified cars — along with a diverse crowd of spectators — gathered in a Walmart parking lot in Pico Rivera, CA to participate in the final stop of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.

This traveling car show, which kicked off in April of this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hot Wheels, visited 14 other cities across the nation before making its homecoming appearance in Southern California.

As part of the Legends Tour, a winning car from each show is chosen by a panel of judges to go to the SEMA Show, where it will compete against other cars from the community to be made into a real Hot Wheels diecast car.

And just like in the previous stops, the competition was fierce in Pico Rivera, with lots of custom rides and hot rods vying for a chance at the big prize. While the judges pored over each car in the lot, spectators were treated to an eclectic showing of vehicles, including full-sized Hot Wheels cars and one of the best displays of MOPAR muscle outside of SpringFest LX.

From Chrysler 300s to Vipers, there was something for every kind of MOPAR fan. Even the Hell Cab made an appearance, complete with its roadkill graphics and 840-horsepower engine.

After a long deliberation, the panel of judges chose a 1938 Graham owned by Steve and Karla Howard as the champion of the Pico Rivera show. Their car will be displayed inside the Hot Wheels booth at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where the final round of judging will determine if it gets immortalized as a 1/64th scale diecast collectible that will eventually be sold in stores all over the world.

In the meantime, check out a gallery of all the different Dodge vehicles spotted on the final leg of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.
