SpeedKore’s SEMA Widebody Charger Packs Twin-turbos, 1,000 HP
Insane AWD Charger Widebody looks like it’ll be a real barn burner and is set for a SEMA debut, Nov. 5.
It might seem hard to believe, but this year’s SEMA Show is right around the corner. On November 5-8, everybody who’s anybody in the automotive industry will be showing off their latest and greatest products. As well as, of course, their killer new builds. That includes SpeedKore Performance, makers of some of the fastest and coolest Dodge vehicles on the planet. SpeedKore never fails to blow us away with their SEMA builds, and it sure doesn’t look like this year’s Charger will be an exception, either.
The builder recently teased us by posting a single rendering of their new ride on Facebook. And though they provided only scant details about the car, it’s more than enough to get us excited. The widebody Dodge Charger not only looks awesome, but it promises to be a real barn burner. The post reveals that this car will utilize twin turbos and all-wheel drive to put the power down. And that’s about it. Thankfully, the folks over at Mopar Insiders were able to gather some more info on the wicked ride.
SpeedKore told Mopar Insiders that they ditched the Charger Widebody’s Hemi in favor of a crate Demon 6.2-liter engine. Power should be north of the 1,000 mark, which should make this Charger scoot like nobody’s business. The car will also feature a custom-valved exhaust system with front bumper cutouts for the track and Magaflow pipes for the street. And there are plenty of carbon fiber bits to help shave some weight as well.
Obviously, we’re excited to not only see this special Charger at SEMA, but also on the track. After all, these are the same folks that built the world-record breaking, carbon-fiber-bodied Demon that ran 8.77 at 162 mph last year. This Charger might not be that quick, but it’s going to be pretty darn fast.
This uber Charger will be unveiled at the Magnaflow Booth in the SEMA Central Hall/Performance Hall on Tuesday, November 5th at 10:00 am PST. You’ll be able to catch the reveal live via Magnaflow’s Facebook page. And you can bet that we’ll be there, ready to bring you all the juicy details of this killer ride when it happens!
