Wicked Wednesday: Demon Jeep! This Jeep Gladiator Mojave Produces 840 Demon V8 Screaming Horsepower

Demon Jeep Gladiator

This Jeep Gladiator Mojave is fired up for the very first time after having a Demon Hemi V8 engine installed.

For years Jeep enthusiasts were clamoring for the return of a Jeep pickup truck. Jeep finally answered with the call with the Jeep Gladiator in 2020. But Jeep fans were still not happy. They wanted a Hemi V8 under the hood. Then the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 came on the scene in 2021. It has the famed Hemi under the hood and makes a serious 470 horsepower. That is enough to rocket the Jeep to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Does anyone need a rock crawling Jeep to go faster then that? Of course not. But if we only built what was needed, what fun would that be? That is why the folks at Epic Adventure Outfitters have taken a Jeep Gladiator Mojave and stuffed a massively powerful Demon Hemi V8 under the hood.

If 470 horsepower in the 392 is good, then the 840 horsepower from the Demon Hemi V8 is great. Or evil depending on how you look at it. A video was recently posted to the Epic Adventure Outfitters YouTube channel showing the final touches of the engine swap install. The video also shows the very first start up of this epic build. And while we will have to wait for future videos to see the driving impressions of how this Jeep Gladiator Mojave with a Demon heart performs on the road. We were just too excited to wait and had to share the progress that we have seen so far.

Big Power

Demon engine

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is crazy fast for the type of vehicle that it is. It also sounds amazing with that Hemi V8. However, the Hemi engine is not available on the Gladiator. The most powerful Gladiator you can buy is the 285 horsepower V6. The Demon engine makes almost TRIPLE the horsepower. And there is not another engine around that shrieks like the supercharged Demon unit. For the too much is never enough crowd this is the perfect engine to put into your Gladiator. And forget the performance and the sound for a moment. Just look at it under the hood. It looks so right under the hood of this Jeep.

Big Money

Body off

No price for this build is posted. But consider this. A Wrangler Rubicon 392 starts at $82,495. That is over $34,000 more than a standard Wrangler Rubicon. So, factoring in the cost of the engine and the amount of work that it would take to complete the swap, this is likely a 6-figure Jeep Gladiator Mojave. That may sound absurd, and if we are honest, it is. But you will be driving a custom Jeep pickup that makes more horsepower than a Ram TRX.

Big Changes

Hood up

This Demon Jeep is not stopping with just an engine swap. No matter how epic the engine swap may be. Future plans for this Jeep include Dana 60 and Dana 80 axles, a lift kit and 38-inch tires. Nothing is going to be able to stop this Jeep. It already has all the power that it will ever need. But with the other upgrades planned this Demon Jeep is going to leave any rivals behind whether the race be on the road or out on the trail.
