So my g/f called me up last night said the rpm where at 6000 and she was only going 75mph. Told her to pull over shut it off then start it back up and drive off. Everything was good then. (rpm where at 2500).
I have searched and found that the relays under the hood could be dirty. I am also planning on doing a tranny flush and filter within the next 2 weeks.
Should there be anything else I should be doing to make sure this doesn't happen again?
thanx

In most cases the 40/41TE transmission will set codes if there is problem inside the trans, Loss of prime or pressure circuit codes. If you have no codes then your chances are good, But without a DRB scan tool it would hard to tell. If you can get your hands on DRB, I would ck the CVI's and perform a clutch test.

Lol, that can do it, lol. She may have accidentally hit the button. I find that it's very easy to hit it and not know right away that it's off, especially if the O/D light on the dash isn't working. Get that light working if it's not to keep this from happening again
