my door infinity factory speakers are blown. im thinking of replacing them with kewood. i looked on crutchfield and they said the door size is a 6.750. this is a 6.5 with an adaptor correct? also if i put in door speakers that are more then 1 way the tweeter wont work right? If anyone has a setup that they used and is happy with it let me know please. thanks in advance.

 

i have eclipse 61/2's in mine but i have them wired to an amp but they arent hooked up to the amp right now i am looking into diff ones but i ran the wires to the back of my car when they were hooked up not really sure bout the tweeter question but thats how mine is set up

 

hey i had just replaced my infinities because mine were blown. so i went to and audio place and i was stuck between kenwood and alpine... so i listened to them both and the worker also showed me another speaker which is MEMPHIS AUDIO and they are AMAZING.. they blew away both kenwood and alpine. there wasnt too much of a difference between memphis and alpine, except the memphis had a much better tweeter sound to it and just gave it a much clearer sound.. i have had them in my car for a month now and no problems... He replaced 4 speakers for just under $300 im just suggesting these too u.. they are just a thought.. They also give off some good bass too... its enough to shake my mirrors. :] if anyone has memphis in their avengers what do you guys think of them..

 

Technically they are oversized 6 1/2's which are 6 3/4's and the 6 1/2's can be drilled into the existing mounts
Yes the tweeters are not going to work due to the crossovers are in the amp and send the highs to the dash ...
I sugest getting a component set then use the tweeters to replace the dash ones with (the stockers blow pretty easy )...

 

i had some m/a 12" subs. i blew them not long ago and i am waiting for the replacments to come in. i think there bad azz but i put too much into them an they blew..

 

I have a set of RS56.2 components I am going to put in the car. I had them for the lincoln but decided to go with better ones. I take it I will need a spacer plate to put these in. Did any body put the amp under the seat? Or is everyone putting the amps in the trunk. I just bought a set of Kicker 6x9 too. They will all run off a kx 350.4 that I have.

I've got alpine S 6.5s, but couldnt tell ya how they really sound because of the crossover that i havent fixed yet. I think most people hook the speakers right into the deck because of the amp... but dont know what everyone has done. My friend has the same 6.5s in his stealth and they sound really good with his sub. if your going for sound, avengers have plenty of room in them!!

 

Where is the factory amp located? Do all models have an amp? Is there a way to bypass it or do you just have to rewire direct from the head unit to the new amp or speakers?

 

Infinity amp was an OPTION it's under trhe rear deck between the 6X9's stick you head under and look ...
Yes you can rewire it directly to the deck or jumper it out ... Unfortunately it is a SIX channel amp so it'll need some adaption to get it on the four channel deck
