RE: remote entry wiring
What I want to do is take a programable logic chip and filter the pulses output by the Remote Entry Module[REM] (maybe panic button). If the button is triggered multiple times in a set period of time it will trigger different outputs then the standard one.
Then maybe the door unlock for trunk release. I know the unlock button already filters keypresses because once is driver's and twice opens passenger's. I'd have to monitor the actual outputs from the REM or pressing the actual door lock might cause problems. It would suck if I was going down the highway and pressed the door unlock and the trunk released.
Does the panic button just trigger the horn on "Horn Wire - Green/Black (-) Steering Column White 3 Pin Connector"?

I think you migh have to look at aftermarket units to help understand the stock one first. The stock one is very basic. Then you'd have to trace down the signals that would tie into your logic chip, while still making sure that the panic button still did it's job. I need aspirin now, lol.
How ever you go about this Robert, good luck bud. It sounds very interesting and if you pull it off, there may be a group of car owners that would want something like this.
