remote entry wiring
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the remote entry? I want to make the buttons do other functions, like roll down the windows, open the sunroof and open the trunk. But I need a diagram to build the programable logic circuit to design it.
Connection - Wire - Location
Constant 12V+ - White Ignition Switch Harness
Starter - Black/Red Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition - Black/White Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition 2 - Blue Ignition Switch Harness
Accessory - Blue/Black Ignition Switch Harness
Tach - Brown Coil Pack
Neutral Safety Wire - Black/Yellow (-) Switch Driver's Side of Transmission
Brake Switch - Green Brake Switch
Trunk Pin - Red/Green (-) Trunk Light
Parking Lights - Green/White 18 Pin Connector at Fuse Panel
Head Lamp - Red Light Switch or Steering Column Harness
Factory Disarm Light - Green/Orange Driver's Door Boot or Green/White Driver's Kick Panel
Door Trigger - Red/Green (-) Driver's Kick or Black 19 Pin Connector on Back of Fuse
Door Lock - Brown/White (-) Driver's Kick Panel or Relay below Radio
Door Unlock - Brown (-)
Horn Wire - Green/Black (-) Steering Column White 3 Pin Connector
Windows Up - LF=Green/Red, RF=Brown/Yellow MAIN
Windows Down - LF=Green/Black, RF=Green/Yellow
dei makes modules for window up/down and sunroof open close ... trunk you just need an actuator

What I want to do is take a programable logic chip and filter the pulses output by the Remote Entry Module[REM] (maybe panic button). If the button is triggered multiple times in a set period of time it will trigger different outputs then the standard one.

Then maybe the door unlock for trunk release. I know the unlock button already filters keypresses because once is driver's and twice opens passenger's. I'd have to monitor the actual outputs from the REM or pressing the actual door lock might cause problems. It would suck if I was going down the highway and pressed the door unlock and the trunk released.
Does the panic button just trigger the horn on "Horn Wire - Green/Black (-) Steering Column White 3 Pin Connector"?

I think you migh have to look at aftermarket units to help understand the stock one first. The stock one is very basic. Then you'd have to trace down the signals that would tie into your logic chip, while still making sure that the panic button still did it's job. I need aspirin now, lol.
How ever you go about this Robert, good luck bud. It sounds very interesting and if you pull it off, there may be a group of car owners that would want something like this.

Does anyone have an idea where exactly the module is in a 98? I checked under the back seat and the drivers side quarter panel but nothing there. If I can get a part number maybe I can get a drawing from the dealer, for a price of course, lol.
