Default Avenger Issue

98 Sport, V6 2.5..

When in Drive and stopped runs kind of roughly. When I let off the brake it kind of stutters as it goes.

It runs great at all other times. And my Check Engine light flashes (not all the time) just occasionally. And it seems the problem is very occasional as well.

Also, because the problem just started happening and the check engine light flashes then stops, I cannot use a code reader...

The guys at autozone have no clue where to plug the codereader into. So, I took a look and could not find it either. Where exactly is it located?

Should be under the dash, near the steering wheel.

Well, for some reason they said I had no codes and would pass. I changed the TPS sensor, and found out my battery (bought a bigger one) was grounding out on my hood, so I fixed that. But Still, the car runs AWESOME and idles great MOST of the time. But occasionally (At least twice a day) it idles rough, and when I let off the brake from a stop it bucks a little and then the check engine light flashes. But it doesnt stay on long enough for me to make it to auto zone (I live right down the road).

I also have the Idle Air Control sensor, but havent installed it yet.

Without knowing more about the problem, but if it is only having problems with the brakes on, check for a leak in the brake booster line. Plug off at the engine and try. Braking will be very hard if any.
