You try hookin a jump box to it and starting it. I can't help but think its the timing belt.

yes the marks line up on the timing belt and ive even put a new one on. but still all it will do is turn over and back fire now. also earlier while i was working on it i heard a humming noise under the hood when i turned over the key in to the on position i listened closely and it was coming from the to computers behind the fuse block under the hood. Is supposed to do that i belive it was coming from the first one looking from the front of the car

backfires are normally timing troubles ..
The humming are you sure it's not the fuel pump ???

humming is normally the fuel pump although it's in the rear , you might be hearing it thru the fuel rail or something since the motor isn't running

Can you decribe that humming a lil more. I had a hum/buzzing sound coming from my hood a while back and it wouldn't start. I had a bad positive cable.
