another dead avenger
i have a 95 dodge anvenger 420a 2.0and it was working fine then one day i heard a loud tapping noise on my way to work i stoped at a light and it died! i tried to start it and it wants to turn over but its not getn enough umph to do it after about the fifth try my battery is dead. any suggestions? please help!

yes the marks line up on the timing belt and ive even put a new one on. but still all it will do is turn over and back fire now. also earlier while i was working on it i heard a humming noise under the hood when i turned over the key in to the on position i listened closely and it was coming from the to computers behind the fuse block under the hood. Is supposed to do that i belive it was coming from the first one looking from the front of the car

ok thanks for info on the back fire i'll recheck the timing. on the humming noise it is deffenitley the first computer under the hood behind the fuse block what could it be? ive never herd it before and my friend has the same model and his doesnt make any noise
