Im looking to get new speakers in my 98 avenger sport and was wondering what have you guys tired and liked the best? Im looking for a good speaker that has a lot of bass but also sounds good.

subwoofers or speakers?

 

i have always had good luck with pionner 8 inch and 10 inch in sealed boxes
in fact im getting ready to get 2 8 inch pionners for my dodge daytona

I had kenwood component's in my last car ... I am installing Infinity Kappa's in the 98 Avenger. Right now I have the 60.7s installed waiting for the new head unit and Basslink 2 subwoofer to arrive to be installed.

 

I would reccommend Pioneers! They work wonders in my car!!

 

I have Diamond speakers all around! Love it! Personally recommend! Had a choice between Diamond and Infinity, I think Diamond has more natural sound to it! Also have 2x12" MMATS and 2 Sony Amps. If you plan on putting new speakers don't forget wires, with stock wiring it is pointless to install nice speakers, will loose all the low freq. signal.

 

I agree with the Diamonds. I used to sell, both Infinity and Diamonds (at a shop that I used to work in) and the Diamonds just had a better sound to them then even the high dollar Infinitys.

 

98, if you're thinking about keeping the stock head unit, make sure to buy LC6 audio converter! That's what I did, I will post some picks later on. But I decided to keep the stock! The size of the stock it 1.5, there as all after markets are 1 or 2 in the size, so I did not want to have a lot of plastic around the stereo, and it is hard to install DVD because we have that bump(AC control) and will create some problems! Go and pick your speakers yourself! We can talk a lot, but you need to make sure YOU like it! Good luck man!
