What you hate about your Dakota.
I love me '96 so far. Got it about a year ago as a 'work' truck for projects I'm doing on my house. I have a daily driver so it sits a lot. The thing I hate the most is the buzzer that never seems to shut off as long as the door is open and key is in. It just cuts though me!
BTW, thanks to to all the folks for posting such helpful info in the FAQ posts, I've learned so much about it from all of the info that's been posted.

K, I have created a new top 5 of things I hate on my truck and the correction to it:
"5" All the rust from the previous owner never washing it, I have painted my truck three times and once again Mr. Rust is showing is ugly face at me. CORRECTION-I have been collecting parts for almost a year, and biting my lip for not playing around with my truck, hopefully will come to an end.
"4" The horrible gas mileage. CORRECTION-I just ignore the fuel gauge.
"3" Lack of available aftermarket parts, and not having the tools to build custom. CORRECTION- Bought me a welder
"2" Using this truck as a DD and still wanting to work on it. CORRECTION-IDK
"1" Not being a ford. CORRECTION-Is none.

Would like to disconnect the light in the glove box on the '92 Dak but its tough to get to the bulb without taking the dash apart, maybe we are doing something wrong. Got caught a couple of times where the glove box was not closed properly and killed the battery.
1. It's 2x4
2. 4x4 conversion is pointless, better off buying a new vehicle
3. extremely limited options on even leveling it, let alone lifting it
4. the cab is too small for me at 6'3" 290 lbs but I'm working on that
5. the rwd is awful in the rain, snow, ect even with brand new tires
6. no real room for audio equipment
If mine was 4x4 I wouldn't have many complaints about it. I HATED mine until I started fixing it up, but it's grown on me.
