i have a 93 v6 with the a500 tranny, my tranny went out and the only tranny i can find is a a518 for the v8, will this make any difference if i put in the a518?

 

It maybe a 42RH not a a518.

If it is a 518 you will have to cut down the drive shaft. Other than that should be no problem.

 

ok, well i got the new tranny in but now it won't start, i have another thread open about this, but anyways it ran fine before (besides the tranny) and now it just won't start. it is turning over and it seems is getting spark just not the correct amount of spark, removed the plug from cylinder 1 to check and turned it over for about 1- 1 1/2 mins and only sparked twice, i replaced the coil, and ignition pick-up, plugs are less then 2 months old along with distributor cap and rotor. Didn't have this problem til after i replaced the tranny, went to go do a test drive and haven't even been able to do so yet. Any ideas?
