Is there a cheaper way or product out there or do I suck it up and drop $1700 into my truck?

body lifts are cheaper but only lift the cab and the bed off the frame so your bumper will still sit lower and look goofy becasue they are attached to the frame unless you make brakets

I just want to throw out as a warning, I've been asking around about getting suspension lifts "professionally installed" apparantly with our style dakotas, it costs alot, because there's a buncha little adjustments that need to be made.

reminds me, you could adjust your torsion bars, good for maybe an inch or so, not too much though, then you can use blocks on the rear. friend did it on his '94 and it was noticably higher, but it wasn't anything you'd find in 4wheelin' mag either.
