Default CEL on with multiple codes

1996 Dakota with CEL codes p0300, p0301 thru p0306 all came in with in seconds of having run the motor for 2 mins after resetting the light. It has a v6 motor. The crank sensor was replaced not too long ago (less than a month) and the CEL has been on sence. What would be some things to check? It seems to drive nice.

Maybe its time for a tune up or the TPS sensor is causing your multi misfire codes.

Have a local parts store reset the CEL. If the problem resurfaces, pull the codes again andreplace the components which forced the illumination of the Check engine light.

lol i have my own code checker thing that connects up to a laptop...

I reset the light
reved the motor for 2 mins thrughout the power band and the CEL came on instantly

p0300 thru p0306

P0300- Multiple missfires detected
P0301- cylender one
" " "
P0306- cylender six

the part that went bad was Crank Pos Sensor and i doubt the truck would even start w/o it. I know most ford's wont w/o that sensor. My buddy at the local dodge chrysler what ever dealer**** wants me to check the CPS and the cap rotor and such.

check the distributor cap and rotor usually if its a spark plug or wire, only one will go out first, not all of them. Where did you buy the CPS? If it was a cheapo aftermarket it could be faulty. Also check the ignition coil, it could be in the verge of going bad.
