I see.
As I said in the "damn" thread by Bad96_3.9 (who should get his named changed to Bad96_5.2L), the water pump went in ok. Went to start it up, no dice. No spark. Replaced coil - nothing. Today, grandpa got back from work. Took off the distributor cap, cranked engine over, rotor didn't rotate. Remove distributor, nothing looked broke, so rotated crankshaft, and the gear didn't rotate. Now its a timing chain.
But, my grandpa is going to replace it while I'm in Arkansas.

well disregaurd my statement in my thread about the problem, take it from me, you should go ahead and put a double roller timing chain in there if you plan on keeping it, i put on on my v6 a while back and the one one was a little loose, but i probably mash on mine a little more, and it was a car quest part if that makes any difference! I was thinking abot the name thing the other day too. Can it be changed?

Yea, my grandpa is going to call the stealership tommorow and price some other type of timing chain, probably the double roller like you are saying.
But, just got to my apartment in Arkansas, using my friends Monte Carlo. And, if all goes as plans, should be back in Illinois in about 3 weeks, and he should be done with my truck. He doesn't want to save the work for me... something about wanting to have his project in the garage. But I like to work on my truck...

I'm going to join your engine pulling club. Since the Transmission shop rigged bolts to fit in my converter, one hole is screwed. So, before the warm weather, I have to pull my motor to fix it. Woo hoo, now I can be cool like you guys. hehe

Well, all taken care of.
You can read more about the problems I had in this other thread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen-dakota-tech/161101-ugh-more-problems.html
But, she is good to go. Now I have almost two weeks to drive the crap out of it locally, before I drive it 700-miles.
