Nothing to do with ac is ever cheap. Converting it from r12 to r134a is not cheap at all.

A good deal of upgrades that would push the motor into those specs have already been convered in this post. No need to keep asking the same question, just reread the posts already here.

Also when looking for prices on parts a quick google search will cure a lot of things. Thats what most of us would do to get you the answer.

Yup just a few minutes of YOUR (Everyone!) time searching will save you from having to wait a day or two to get your answer.

There is some stuff around called Freeze 12 that is a replacement for the R12, I can't tell you what all is involved but I don't believe it's as complicated as a R134 replacement.

Well to tell you the truth i dont know whats in it, someone at one time wrote R134 on the cormpresser with like a sharpy but i went to auto zone because we couldnt get the R134 recharge cans connected to the valves and we were told that it still has the R12 valves so its a mystery to me

I didn't know of that Freeze 12. A quick look at google. http://www.freeze12.com/ Very simple replacement.

Today i got the truck washed for the second time after i have owned it but it did not have a rain guard on it, and because of that i think some water/soap/mabey even some spot free rince got in the tube, and to the carb and into the engine, it was all warmed up but after coming out of the car wash place when i went to give it some gas it bogged down and backfired like 4 times and but it quit with doing that while on the road for a little while,
when i got home i took the air cleaner apart (while leaving the engine idle) and checked the filter if it was wet and it really wasnt that i could tell so i sprayed some carb cleaner in the carb and put it all back together and left the house to drive it, got on the highway and it ran just fine with no problems and got it up to like 4000RPMs to but im wondering if i should be worried about that, id think the water would evaperate so what im worried more about is the soap/spot free rince, should i be worried any about it in the engine or intake pipe or does soap also just evaperate?

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say that if it was gonna cause any damage, it already would have.

If you got enough water in your motor to do much damage youd know it because your truck would be running horribly or not at all. Hydrolocking a motor is usually the biggest fear with water, and trust me youd know if it happened. Otherwise you may want to check your oil to make sure nothing bled down into it water wise.

If not you should be fine.

ETA the "bogging down" could have just been some water on the distributor or spark plug wires that burned off as you drove. No big deal. Happens when you hit a big puddle or do water crossings. A short isolated incident wont hurt anything.
