well i live in wisconsin so i dont have any thing to worry about, i just asked because my friends dad ran they're mini van basically open headers around our small town and when he went to the cites he got a crap load of tickets lol

well cut it off sounds awsome but now i get like 15mpg and i use to get like 18-20 mpg. wouldthe cut off cat have anyhthing to do wth it?

If anything you should get better gas mileage, because there is less backpressure. To little backpressure does hurt some cars.

Unless the added benefit is making you push on the gas pedal harder
