Possibly the idle air control valve. Could also be the TPS or MAP sensors. Will it drive ok if you can keep it running? IE. Does the motor run ok at middle/top end and only die/sputter at idle/near idle. When was the last tune up(plugs and wires) and has it had the fuel filter replaced?

i replaced the iacv already. if i drive and hold the gas down you can occasionally feel the truck sputter and kick back on.

Did you reset the computer after putting in the IAC? There's also the possibility that the new IAC is bad... happens a lot. Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rails?

You said that the fuel pressure was ok. Whats ok?

If your sure it has fuel, im sure it has air, then that leaves spark. You could try the infamous splice under the pdc. Other ideas might be the coil or ignition module.

I had that exact same problem once upon a time-easy fix-once I'd been towed 5-6 miles to driveway. Broken coil wire(internally)couldn't see externally where it was broken. Hope yours is as easy to fix. I'm talking coil to distributor cap that is-not internal coil windings.
